How to avoid stockouts cross-border

Stockouts are predictable: if sellable days, in-transit and POs are blind, ads keep spending into empty shelves.

The real stockout chain

It's not only 'warehouse hit zero'. Sellable days collapse, inbound is late, POs stall in approval, or platform vs local stock disagree — while ads still burn.

Unify three numbers

On-hand, in-transit, sellable (or days of cover). If they don't live in one place, people shout in chat. Safety thresholds should create tasks with owners.

Why chat groups fail

Who requested, who approved, who purchased, where cargo is — buried in messages. One person on leave breaks the chain; demand spikes cause either stockouts or overbuy.

How YingQiao helps

Alerts when stock crosses safety lines; demand → approve → PO with records; in-transit visibility; separate dead-stock handling so you don't only push more inventory.

How to start

  1. 1

    Set thresholds

Per SKU / listing sellable days or qty.

  2. 2

    Task, don't shout

    Breaches create owned tasks.

  3. 3

    Track inbound

After PO, watch slow batches early.

FAQ

Need a full WMS first?

Multi-platform?

One scale, then split by shop — avoid double-buying.

We do not do Amazon

Amazon isn't connected — not a single row of data. Amazon stock and Amazon sales do not feed this restock forecast.

TK sales count, TK ads don't

TK orders feed daily run-rate and the restock forecast. But if you want to check whether ads are still burning money on a SKU that just went out of stock, that part isn't visible for TK.

We don't place orders with your suppliers

The system works out how much to restock, puts the alert on a named person, and records how the purchase order moves. Actually ordering and paying your supplier stays with your team.

Works without a WMS

You can start with just platform sellable stock, goods in transit and purchase records. If you run an overseas warehouse, the integration is a separate conversation — it isn't plug-and-play.

You set the buffer yourself

Safety-stock multipliers and target days of cover are business calls tied to your cash and your category. The system calculates from the parameters you set; it won't decide how aggressive you should be.

No conversational data queries yet

Asking "which SKUs need restocking this week" in a chat box is something we haven't built. Today it's the restock list and the tasks.
